Send one link. Get your top candidates.
Zobo Jobs is Safeburse’s answer to the most tedious part of hiring: first-round screening. Instead of booking 20-minute calls with every applicant, recruiters share one link. Candidates complete a live, conversational AI interview whenever it suits them. What comes back is a ranked shortlist, scored, with full video, transcript, and an AI summary for each person.
The problem
Screening is the least valuable, most time-consuming part of a recruiter’s week.
A recruiter reviewing 50 applicants at 20 minutes each spends 16+ hours on a single role. Run that across 10 open roles at once and it’s 160+ hours of near-identical conversations, most of which end in “not a fit.” Meanwhile the candidates worth talking to sit in a queue, and a faster-moving competitor scoops them up.
It gets worse with scale. Different recruiters ask different questions, score differently, and remember details differently. Two equally qualified candidates can get two different outcomes depending on who happened to interview them, which is hard to defend when a hiring manager asks why one made the shortlist and the other didn’t.
Pre-recorded video interview tools tried to fix this by having candidates record answers to a fixed list of questions. That solves the scheduling problem but not the quality problem: there’s no follow-up, no real conversation, and candidates can tell the difference. It reads as one-way and cold.
How it works
- Paste in the job description. Zobo Jobs generates a tailored interview script in about 10-15 seconds, built around the specific skills, experience level, and responsibilities in that role. No question bank to write from scratch.
- Share one link. Candidates complete the interview on their own schedule, no coordination required.
- The AI actually interviews them. It’s a live, spoken conversation, not a form. The AI listens to each answer and asks a real follow-up before moving on, the way a good interviewer would.
- Get back a ranked shortlist. Every candidate is scored across five dimensions: technical knowledge, communication, problem solving, experience fit, and confidence. You get the score, a recommendation, the full video, the transcript, and an AI-written summary. If someone’s connection drops mid-interview, their partial evaluation is still saved, not discarded.
Why teams switch to it
Speed. Screening that used to take a week of back-and-forth scheduling now runs in the background, 10x faster by the time a shortlist lands in your inbox.
Availability. Interviews run 24/7. A candidate in a different time zone doesn’t wait for a slot to open on your calendar, and you don’t lose them to a competitor who replied faster.
Consistency. Every candidate gets the same script and the same five-dimension rubric. When a hiring manager asks why someone did or didn’t make the cut, there’s a scored, recorded answer, not a recruiter’s memory of a call from three weeks ago.
Cost. Interviews run at roughly $0.60 each on the Growth plan, next to $400+ in recruiter time per role handled manually, or a 15-20% agency fee for outsourcing it.
It’s built for recruiting teams hiring five or more roles a quarter, where the volume makes manual screening genuinely painful. A team hiring one or two roles a year probably won’t feel enough of that pain to need it.
What it isn’t
Zobo Jobs isn’t trying to replace the human side of hiring. It replaces the administrative first filter, the repetitive call that decides who’s worth a real conversation, not the relationship-building that happens once someone’s through to round two. Recruiters still make the final call on every hire. The AI just makes sure they’re spending their time on the right candidates when they do.
It’s also not a pre-recorded video interview tool. Those ask a fixed list of questions and record whatever comes back. Zobo Jobs runs a live, adaptive conversation with real follow-ups, which is the difference candidates and recruiters both notice.

Common questions
Won’t candidates dislike being interviewed by an AI? The interview is designed to feel like a real call: natural voice, acknowledgment of answers, follow-up questions, and a proper close. It’s replacing the administrative first filter, not the human relationship that starts once someone’s through to the next round.
Will we miss good candidates who don’t perform well with an AI? Struggling to communicate clearly under interview conditions is often useful signal, not noise, and this stage only decides who moves to round two. You still meet everyone you choose to progress.
Our roles are specialized. Can a generic AI actually screen for them? The script is generated from your specific job description, required skills, and experience level. Recruiters can also add custom questions, and the AI weaves them into the conversation naturally rather than bolting them on at the end.
